I made a post about it earlier somewhere regarding problems with it, can't find the post.
Anyhow it seems to work a bit better now, I used to have to mess around with the settings before it would up load but it seems better now.
Both programs, ie the one that came with my my camera phone (Sony) and the windows photo app want to upload the photos, the Sony one does it automatically (ie the new photos) but the windows one seems to want to upload every photo every time.
Only other issue is my camera does not auto power off when it is done, mind you not that bit a problem I think as that would leave the wifi on and drain the battery so I have power off myself, but I am sure to put it in airplane mode.
I guess I will have to decide which app to use and find out how to disable the other one trying to import.
Both apps seem pretty good I'll have to see which is best.

i have a cannon slr digital camera a panasonic small camera and the mororola phone camera when i plug them in with the usb lead they all go to the same program, it installs the pics, then delete them from the device its just downloaded from. i dont have any issues with double photos then It is probably the windows photo app. My camera has wireless import and it's own photo app. When I first got the camera I would tell it to send the photo to the computer and it would send all the new ones automatically and the switch off the camera when finished. So it worked fine. But windows 10 screwed it all up, and it seems to change it each update to windows 10. Before both apps used to start up but this time only the win 10 one did, plus I had to specify what to import, I can't seem to find out if or how to just automatically import the new one. Plus I the camera no longer shuts down when it is finished. So there is a fair bit that needs sorting. Indeed it take ages an involves and unseemly excessive amount to thrashing of the hard drive. So I dont know what's going on there. It is a bit better than it was but that is not saying too much!! So it needs sorting out but I am not sure what is going on really lol.

That is another crap thing about windows, you don't know when you are because it display different address for the same thing sometimes. Also it seems impossible to change the default photo app unless you change if to one of the ones Microsoft allows you to choose. (bastards!!)

Update!!
I have actually had some success with this.
I followed the advice here were sets the wifi import program, now it imports just the new photos automatically.
So that is a lot better, only thing it does not do is switch the camera off when done.

I have all my photos and stuff, but hell of a lot of things need reinstalling including my sony photo app, I just tried sending a photo wireless and it didn't see to work so I have a lot of sorting out to so!! OH WOW!!! WOW! WOW!!! WOW!! I had been geting nowhere with this. I think I might have fixed it, but I need to do another test just to be sure, ie send another photo. community.sony.com/t5/Alpha-NEX-Cameras/WTA-Wifi-Connection-NEX-5R-to-Windows-PC/td-p/101647/page/2Now I was not sure what the bit in bold meant, well what he means is Network Devices in File Explorer. ie here!!! So I clicked there and it said something like "network discover is turned off, would you like to turn it on?" YES I BLOODY WELL WOULD I thought!! SO I clicked it and turned it on for my pivate network ie not public, when it did it found my camera and it all worked. It sent the file and shut down the camera when done!! 100% success!! It tell you how to turn on network dicovery here, www.isunshare.com/windows-10/turn-on-or-off-network-discovery-in-windows-10.htmlalthough I didnb't do it that way, I just click on the netwrok icon in the file browser and click the obvious when it said do I wnat to turn network discovery on. Actually I could not do it that way so what I did was go to here and click "turn on network disocvery". (first option under privte network) Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings That is where I was taken when it said ""network discover is turned off, would you like to turn it on?"", I had forgotten where it took me so I turn it off and repeated the process and it took me there! So that is fixed now and working as new, been a pita getting there though!!

Yea. Things have been going pretty well for me just recently on the computing/technology front. I have alsoo restore a backup I found of my old firefox bookmarks which I lost went I had to restore my PC cos it would not boot. Mind you I was considering starting afresh on the bookmarks as a way of clearly out a load of junk I bookmarked but never used. I also managed to get desktop screen recording working agian in VLC player by going back to an older version as detailed in another thread. My PC also booted really fast today less than a minute, but that mmight have given firefox a problem as it asked me to restore it. So I will keep an eye onm that. THe PC also feel s alot "lighter" since the restore probably cos it cleaned out a load of crap that had been installed by various programs. It seem like a new PC now!!

Also so the fast startup works a fair bit, the odd time it has booted up to login in less than 30 second.
Might also help that I have less programs instaled I guess,
For example the manufacturer ASUS had some software on it, that all lost I think. ( but I maybe able to get it back (if I wanted it, which I don't really))
