I like these sort of game too so many possibilities with every move and each one is a mini chess puzzle.

I might not able to pay for a few days as I will be at my brothers and there is no PC there so I won't be able to move the pieces. I should be able to comment though.

I am back home on my computer.
New boiler is installed, just waiting for the house to heat up as it has been without heat for a few days.

Should do.
I had a go at fixing my phone with mixed results.
I changed the battery OK but had problems changing the screen, the new screen I bought seemed to be working as I was installing it but at some point the display went bad.
Looks like the middle one of these at best sometimes it is even worse, but either way it is useless.
Oddly my old smashed screen works better which is what makes me think it is worth ordering another screen and have a second go at it it.
It did work initially when I connected it to test it, but I then had to put 17 screws back into the phone whilst the two halves of the phone, screen and main body are connected by a delicate ribbon cable which is apparently very easllly damaged.
So it will cost me £12.99 on top of the £12.99 I spend on my fist attempt.
So worth one more try I guess.
You can see the ribbon cable to the screen here at 2:40
I note he has the screen half propped up vertical, that must reduce the potential stress on the cable, so I will have to try that and be as careful as I can.
I would have just bought another one but all the ones in the price range I am willing to pay have plastic or glass backs.
Plastic looks and feels cheap and the glass ones are likely to shatter if you drop it, so I will risk another £13 on another screen.
I like the look and feel of the metal body.
It makes the phone look more expensive than it really is. I will be really pissed off if I fail again!
Which is quite likely!!

I kind of quite like the challange, even though I have failed twice already, it seems the key thing is to avoid stretching or stressing the cable to the display. A slighht change in the design would have made it so much easier, but I guess the idea is to make it really difficult so folk have to buy a new phone when they need a new battery.
It cost about £180 so I am reluctant to bin it!
It seems the G6 has a processor with a 14nm chipset where as mine is 28nm, smaller is better, half the size basically means it uses half the power, so you get a good battery life.

It was!!
I've fixed it!
It was a bit of a gamble forking out another £13 for a new screen but it paid off, a new phone is £110 for the G6 play but mine has more ram 3GB v 2GB.
Had to glue the screen back on using some sort of rubber solution, just need to clean off the excess but the phone works fine, made a call on it and surfed the new so everything seems to work ok!

I screwed up again!
I did see the stalemate problem earlier but then forgot about it, I think later I thought my pawn was moving the other way ie up the screen so stalemate would not be a problem, but of course it was going down.
Oh well good game anyhow!

Yea I am really pleased I managed to do it in the end, it was the challenge of being able to do it that drove me on really as much as the money saving.
I've ordered some acetone to help clear up the the residual glue to make the line look better but most of it has gone already.
